Modify the edition (mutations)
Step 1.
StoryEditor
SE -> Press -> Project Management -> Manage Projects
From the ‘Publication’ menu select the publication that you want to edit, then in the Projects select the edition and ‘Create Mutation Project’.
In the window CREATE MUTATION FROM ACTIVE PROJECT you can edit the basic information on the new issue that will be created.
Project name - name of the project the way it will be seen in the system
Publication - name name of the publication (e.g. Times, Cosmopolitan...)
Publish date - the date when the publication will be published
Issue - number of issue. It is created automatically based on the active project, but if needed, you can change it manually
Mutation - markation for the mutation (e.g. first edition, evening edition), used for sending the publication to the press, so the pages are correctly marked and would not be mixed up with the pages of the original edition
Deadline - enter the date and time as a deadline for finishing the edition and sending to press. Click the date field to open the calendar within you can select the wanted date, then by clicking the HH filed (hours) and MM (minutes) enter the precise time of the deadline
Date - on page select the date that will be shown on the pages of the edition. A date is automatically taken from the original/active project, if needed you can change it. Click on the date field to open the calendar within which you can select the wanted date
Click on the ‘Submit’ button to create the mutation of the edition that will become visible in the ‘Projects’ frame, and at the same time in StoryLink and StoryEditor.
Step 2.
SE -> Press -> Project Management -> Manage Projects
To further adjust the settings for the newly created edition, select it in the ‘Projects’ frame, then choose in the menu Edit active project.
The window EDIT PROJECT opens, and here you can adjust different options of the edition.
