 Publish PDF Name convention

The name of the PDF file for printing (the name that StoryLink generates when creating a PDF document - the actions of the Publish document button). Available tags to generate names (including braces):

  • {I} Issue - number of issues defined when creating a new project
  • {U} Mutation - The name of the mutation selected when creating a new project. We use this option if we have multiple projects on the same day in the same publication (so that a PDF of a project can not be overwritten through the PDF of another project).
  • {PP} Absolute Page Number (2 digits)
  • {PPP} Absolute Page Number (3 digits)
  • {YY} Year (2 digits) - Project year defined when creating new project in the format of the two-digit number. (Publish date or Page Date *)
  • {YYY} Year (3 digits) - Project year defined when creating new project in the format of the three-digit number. (Publish date ili Page Date*)
  • {MM} Month - Release Month of the issue defined during the creation of a new project (Publish date ili Page Date*)
  • {DD} Day - Release Day of the issue defined during the creation of a new project (Publish date ili Page Date*)
  • {CPT} Color Page Type - (in color or black and white)
 PDF Name convention for Output

The name of the PDF when sending a document to a Printhouse, where StoryEditor renames the name when sending document. For more information about sending documents via StoryEditor, see G-00 Output. Two additional tags can be used here for different versions of PDF documents (so that the Printhouse knew that there was a change in the PDF and in which document).

  • {V} Version 1 digit
  • {VV} Version 2 digit
Choose correct date for PDF Name

 *Publish date or Page Date.

When creating a new project we have the ability to define two different dates:

  • Publish date - date of publishing project (1.)
  • Date on Page - the date that will be printed on the InDesign document page (2.)

Publish Date or Page Date

Here we define what date we will use when making a PDF document or sending it to a Printhouse (in PDF Name Convention).
