F-03 Options - Templates

The Templates (templates) are InDesign documents containing all the elements of the page, together with articles and photos. This is used by editorial staff that uses the Template driven system, the workflow is much faster when using the templates.  The templates are saved to the groups (e.g. The World, Television...), within every group there is a single template (e.g. left side, right side, centerfold...).

You can create the groups as new (New), change the existing one (update) or delete (delete). You can’t delete the group if it holds the generated templates.

At the single templates (Templates drop-down menu) you can open existing one (open), generate new, refresh the existing (generate New/Update) or delete the active template.

Export Template Articles - To generate articles from the template, they must be correctly labeled (with a position and the type of the label), then use Export Template Articles option to create articles in the database that will be defined through Admin / Admin Publication / Template articles.

Overwrite - use this option to write in the changes, including making of the new preview as well as the new articles if you left Export Template Articles option turned on.
