Export classified list to XML
SE: Classified Ads -> Content -> CLASSIFIED LIST
In Layout Export, choose date for which you want to export classifieds XML.
| From: - To: - date | Select the time period (from - to) for which we want to export small ads to XML |
| Add classifieds | If we know that in the list, we will miss 1-2 classified columns to close the page, here we can subsequently add a small number of small ads (free ads defined at no cost) |
| Group by Locations | If we have the need to group classifieds according to the location, we must include this option. This is an additional option that depends on how your ads appear on the page. |
| Export for Layout | XML will be created on the server in the folder ../composition/ROOT/#ime_publikacije#/classifieds/classifieds_export |
Import XML in InDesign
Open a page in InDesign, where you want to insert small ads and go to the XML structure (View -> Structure -> Show Structure)
Right-click on Root element in Structure and choose "Import XML"
-> pick the XML file from folder .../composition/ROOT/#publication_name#/classifieds/classifieds_export
-> on dialog window be sure that is "Merge content" mode active -> confirm OK
Drag'n'drop ClassifiedList item from Structure to page .... -> if some "Find..." pop-up is displayed, means it has not exported a picture from a classified and you should check that situation..
If we have set up classified formats in StoryEditor correctly and if the tags are correctly mapped to InDesign, everything will look as it should:
